Terms

The deal, in plain words.

What Guard4AI does and does not promise, what you pay, and how either of us can end it.

Who you are dealing with

Guard4AI is built and run by a sole trader based in Australia. “We” and “us” mean that business; “you” means the person or company using Guard4AI. You can reach us any time at hello@guard4ai.com.

Using the extension or paying for a plan means you accept these terms.

What Guard4AI can and cannot promise

Guard4AI catches a great deal, but it may not catch everything. Treat it as a seatbelt, not a chauffeur.

It looks for the patterns and names it recognises, and it recognises a lot of them. Language is endless though, people write things in ways nobody anticipated, and AI websites change their pages without telling us, so something sensitive can slip through.

You are responsible for what you send. Guard4AI reduces the chance of a mistake; it does not remove it, and it is not a substitute for your own judgement, your employer’s policies, or any legal or professional duty you have about client information. If a message must not be sent, the safe move is not to type it.

This is why manual masking exists. You can select anything the detector missed and mask it yourself before sending, and you can review every finding on the warning card rather than accepting what we suggest. Use it, particularly for anything unusual, or anything that would matter if it leaked.

We also cannot promise the extension is always available or error-free. Browsers update and AI sites redesign, so something can break. We fix it as fast as we can, and we do not guarantee uptime.

The trial

Every plan starts with fourteen days free. You enter a card to begin, and it is not charged during the trial. On day fifteen the first payment is taken automatically and your plan begins.

Cancel before day fifteen and you are not charged anything at all.

How to cancel. Sign in and open your account, then Manage billing. That opens Stripe’s own portal, where you can cancel, change the card, and download every invoice. Cancelling there takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for: access continues until that date, and there is no further charge. If you would rather we did it, email hello@guard4ai.com.

What you pay

If a payment fails we will try again and let you know. If it keeps failing your plan can be suspended until it is settled.

Cancelling

You can cancel at any time, for any reason, by emailing hello@guard4ai.com. We will confirm it in writing.

When you cancel:

We do not give refunds for part of a month you have already paid for, except where the law requires it, and it sometimes does. See Your rights under Australian law below.

Price changes

Prices can change. If yours does, we will email you at least 30 days before it takes effect, and the new price only applies from your next billing period. If you do not want to pay it, cancel before then and you never will.

We will not change the price of a plan during a trial you have already started.

Using it fairly

We can suspend or end an account that does these things, or that has not paid. Where it is reasonable we will tell you first and give you a chance to fix it.

Where you stand if something goes wrong

Plain version: if Guard4AI misses something and you send data you did not mean to send, that is not something we can carry for you. We charge a small monthly fee for a tool that reduces a risk. We are not insuring you against the consequences of a leak, and we could not price it if we were.

So, to the extent the law allows:

Your rights under Australian law

Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law, and nothing is meant to.

Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded, including that they will be provided with due care and skill and be fit for the purpose we describe. If we fail one of those guarantees you are entitled to a remedy, and if the failure is a major one you can cancel and seek a refund. The limits in the section above apply only to the extent the law permits, and where we are allowed to limit our liability for a failure, we limit it to supplying the service again or refunding what you paid for it.

These terms are governed by Australian law, and disputes go to the Australian courts.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms in a way that matters, we will email account holders and move the date at the bottom of this page. Continuing to use Guard4AI after that means the new terms apply. If you do not accept them, cancel.
